Ladies Craft Camp Directors Information

Thank you for joining us and volunteering to be the director of our upcoming Ladies Weekend Craft Camp! In this page you will find everything you need to do and coordinate during the camp, if you are confused or need help with anything feel free to reach out to us.

There may also be some extra camp specific things to consider, such as the trading/donation/give-away tables, swimming pools in summer, and any workshops you would like to involve.

Before the Camp

• Inform the CYC Camps Coordinator of any camp theme if you decide to do one, this needs to be done before the camp opens for registrations (10 weeks before the camp)
• If you would like to do any of our site activities for your camp please inform the CYC Camps Coordinator (4 weeks before the camp) – Click here to check out our Activities page to see what we have to offer
• Inform the CYC Camps Coordinator of any information that needs to be passed on to the campers, this is to be done before the pre-camp information is sent out to the campers (2 weeks before the camp)
• Work out who is doing the “think spots” at camp (these spots last for around 5 minutes at lunch and dinner on the Saturday)
• Organise what is happening for the Sunday Church service. This service typically runs for 45 minutes, which includes songs and a message. We can organise songs via video if needed, you just need to let the CYC Camps Coordinator know what songs you’d like.
• The CYC Camps Coordinator can provide you with a list of people who are willing to help out with the think spots, devotions, and the Sunday message however, you will need to organise who’s doing what and when

During the Camp

• Meet the CYC Camps Coordinator so that he can hand over everything that you need for the weekend
• Ensure that meals, morning teas, and afternoon teas start roughly on time
• Communicate the camper information to the attendees at the appropriate times, this information can be accessed through the below button and covers;
  • The initial welcome
  • Some extra information
  • The emergency evacuation plan
  • Meal time information
  • Pack up information

All of the camper information will be handed over to you (printed in the director’s information packet that we’ll give you) upon your arrival at camp.
